Social swings

Make Space for Girls Susannah Walker explains brilliantly why and how public realm and play areas need to change to attract teenage girls - and boys too.  

Teenagers need to be able to hang out safely in small friendship groups, without being seen as gangs of trouble-makers and asked to move on, or bullied or cat-called.

Who knew about social swings? One example we could easily build to make safe spaces for teenagers.
